Storage Conditions
The material must be stored in a shaded area with minimum repousse to sunlight and UV rays. The container should be protected from all sources of heat, ignition $ extreme cold
SURFACE PREPARATION: -
- Concrete, lime-concrete and mortar screed surfaces must be clean, free from grease, oil & loosely adhering particles.
- New concrete should be cured for at least 28 days and should have a pull off strength ≥ 1.5 N/mm2. Cementitious or mineral based substrates must be prepared mechanically using wire brush, grinder, abrasive blast cleaning or scarifying equipment to remove cement laitance and to achieve an open textured surface. Loose friable material and weak concrete must be completely removed and surface defects such as blowholes and voids must be fully exposed.
MATERIAL PREPARATION:
- Primer is mixed with clean water up to maximum 10 % to achieve desired consistency. Stir the contents well before application.
APPLICATION OF MATERIAL:
- Application procedure may vary slightly depending upon the site conditions.
- Apply bituminous primer to a clean, smooth and dry surface by brush, roller or spray in single coat as per consumption given. Ensure full wetting and coverage of the surface.
- In some cases, a second coat of primer may be necessary, allow 24 hours between successive coats. Application of bituminous membranes must be done soon after the primer is hard dry.
CAUTION:
- Do not apply Prima Bit WB Primer when it is raining or when rain is imminent.
- Do not apply Prima Bit WB Primer on substrates with oil or grease contamination.
- Do not apply Prima Bit WB Primer on dry surface in extreme hot weather.
- Surface must be cooled by spray or mist of water before application.
- Apply the membrane within 24 hours of primer application.
