APPLICATION PROCESS

To install Tar Pads:

  1. Make sure that the area is clean, dry and free from oil and/or debris.
Apply heat from your blowtorch for 15 seconds to warm up the bitumen / asphalt or concrete.
  2. Place the pad on the surface and continue to apply heat to the pad and surrounding area for another 15 seconds until the bubbles on the pad start to form and pop.
  3. As soon as the bubbles start popping; lay the cats eye on the pad and apply pressure until the tar starts to ooze from the edges. Curing time will vary from location to location depending on ambient temperatures.
